Kivun

Kivun is an annual gathering of professionals in their 20’s who work at grantee organizations of the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation. Research shows that younger generation professionals share common challenges in the work place – ranging from organizational cultures which have not evolved to know the worlds in which they live, to living on low salaries, to wondering whether Jewish communal work is a viable career. They rarely have the opportunity to meet each other in an intentional way.

At Kivun, the participants take part in 48 hours of intensive facilitated sessions that explore issues of the day, expose them to skills training that will improve their abilities in the work place and in managing their lives, and give them the opportunity to network in really enjoyable settings. The number of program alumni has grown to over 100 - a group of top young Jewish professionals - serving as a network of contacts, peer support, collaborators, and visionaries of the future.
